Khemia Ensemble formed in the Fall of 2014 with the goal to bring a unique concert experience with fresh contemporary chamber music to places it has never been and in ways people have never seen. Our first project was a concert and educational tour to countries in South America. Our founder, composer Carolina Heredia, put together a group of 8 like-minded instrumentalists and 3 resident composers to perform commissioned works and 20th century classics at Universities in Bogota, Colombia and Cordoba, Argentina. Now we want to share these works, among others, on our debut album titled "Voyages". In addition to our album we recently premiered our permanent, interactive lighting installation that accompanies our sounds titled "Khemia Lights" created with the help of Cincinnati-based sound and visual production company Intermedio.
